Live’n it up – theatre development project

A theatre development and mentoring initiative led by the Creative Souls Project in collaboration with Leki Bourke and Jono Soo Choon. Live’n it up will occupy the Blockhouse Bay Community Centre for two weeks in January

Week 1: 16 – 20 January
a collaborative development of “The Turtle and the Plastic Bag”, a theatre piece for children that explores the issue of waste and communicates strategies to reduce it.
Over the development week the team will work with groups in the community invested in reducing waste like Ecomatters Environment Trust, Compost Collective and Wastewise. At its culmination a draft performance/reading will take place.

Week 2: 23 – 27 January, 2017
“From Me to We” – a creative team works with a young local playwright to develop an existing piece, with the intention of presenting it at a local festival.

Open Call: If you’re 16-24 and you have a solo theatre piece that you’d like to develop into a full length script, then submit your script and you could receive a free 5 day script development workshop with the creative team from The Eel and Sina.
Submissions close 31st December.
