Modular Poetry Workshops – a vibrant mix of craft, collage, poetry, and music
Join the Wordcore Wayfinders for a free, family-friendly creative adventure in the Whau!
This participatory series invites the public to step inside the creative process—crafting words, sounds, and images that map the stories of our community. Through a sequence of free poetry-craft workshops from February to May, participants will experiment with collage poetry, spoken word, improvised music and collaborative art-making guided by local artists.
The journey culminates in a public exhibition showcasing works born from these sessions—a celebration of Whau voices illuminated through sound, text, and visuals.
Why come along?
Craft together in hands-on, family-friendly sessions
Experiment with words and images to create unique collage poetry
Explore spoken word in a fun, welcoming environment
Collaborate with local artists to make community art
All creations will be celebrated in a public exhibition in May – a chance for our community to share its stories through art, text, and sound.
Come connect, create, and celebrate with your neighbours. Let’s map the stories of Whau together!
