Whare Hau Ako

Ko Au te Toi | Ko te Toi ko au – I am the Art | The Art is Me is a powerful kaupapa led by Whare Hau Ako, offering 10 culturally grounded creative wānanga across the Whau. Designed to uplift identity, creativity, and wellbeing, these workshops engage pakeke | adults —in hands-on artmaking using upcycled materials.

Guided by Māori values and led by creatives Cindy Kawana and Keri Milich, each wānanga is a safe, transformative space for cultural reconnection, storytelling, and self-expression. Together, we’re weaving a shared narrative of resilience, pride, and belonging through the arts.
