The Creative Souls Project

The Creative Souls Project is committed to providing programmes, workshops, mentoring and opportunities in the Arts for young people and old within our Avondale community and beyond.  From pre school music and movement, to adult ukuele lessons to arts and crafts sessions and everything in-between, they strive to make the arts accessible and affordable.

In addition to running a creative drop in space for youth and families at Avondlae Intermediate (12 Holly St) The Creative Souls Project have presented a number of projects in and with the Whau including

Keepers – Maker Day at Avondale Intermediate 2016
Sounding the Spider – Urbanesia, Avondale, 2015
Pass the Parcel – a five youth artist spoken word, dance, music and film collaboration, 2015
Home – Postcard Project Avondale, 2015
Drumline workshop for the Avondale Market Project, 2015

The Creative Souls Project is led by Deahne Lakatani-Stone and Malcolm Lakatani who work with a team of youth to present their projects.
