Thanks For You Helping With You: Resonating Visibility

This is a public art exhibition that celebrates visibility and representation by showcasing work from the Māpura Studios Creative Living art group, a programme for disabled artists based in Avondale.

The project pairs each artist with a public or shared space in West Auckland that reflects or inspires their creative practice, selected through a collaborative process. Artwork will be presented in accessible formats such as posters, billboards, digital screens, or prints, allowing it to reach diverse audiences in everyday settings. By situating the artists’ work in the public realm, the exhibition creates meaningful connections between the artists, their local environment, and the broader community, highlighting the value of inclusive artistic expression and making space for disabled voices to be seen, celebrated, and engaged with.
