Sit with me, tell me something… 12 Totara Avenue, New Lynn, is an installation project aimed at providing an opportunity for local residents in the Whau are to share their lived experiences of living in a rapidly evolving urban centre.

Residents are invited to sit and record their experiences or create an expression of their experiences. Starting in the first week of August 2015, there will be opportunities to participate in a series of weekend drop in sessions and workshops including:

• Make-a-zine
• Preparing text for screen printing
• Recording your story with Radio NFA
• Build your future

All workshops are supervised and family friendly.

At the end of the four weeks participants and other members of the community are invited to return to begin producing prints of their elements selected and exposed on to screen prints which will displayed at a community opening scheduled for mid September.
