The Kelston Identity flags project is a platform to explore and express Kelston’s identity. It will celebrate Kelston – the place and the people. It also will work towards creating connection and celebration for Kelston and the Whau area and communicating Kelston’s history, culture and unique offering
Through late 2016 and early 2017 artist and fashion designer Miranda Brown will lead a series of workshops where locals create an artwork reflecting Kelston. Out of these workshops will come a master-artwork that can be used through out the Kelston community and Whau area to express and celebrate Kelston and the Whau.
Miranda Brown is working with Community Waitakere, the Kelston Community Hub and other community organisations to run these workshops.
