Funding the Arts in West Auckland

An information evening on arts funding and relationships in West Auckland
6 – 7:30 pm, Tuesday 14 June
Avondale Community Centre, Highbury Hall,
99 Rosebank Road, Avondale

Have you ever wondered how to build a relationship with the Auckland Council, what kind of contestable funding and opportunities are available? Do you know what the TTCF is and how it relates to the Trusts in West Auckland, or what Foundation North is all about? We’ve arranged for representatives from all three of these organisations to come out and talk about the big picture of sustaining the arts in (west) Auckland and what opportunities for support you can access.

Speakers:
Mary Borok, Sector Investment Advisor, Auckland Council speaking on strategies for sustainability for arts organisations and Auckland Council opportunities from grants to contracts and strategic relationships

Margaret Hudson, Grants Manager, The Trusts Community Foundation (TTCF) speaking on TTCF – a class 4 gaming society that has gaming venues nationwide, including venues in West Auckland

A funding specialist from Foundation North will speak on the foundation’s goals and funding programmes.

This is the first in a series of events around strategies for sustainability. The next event will take place at Te Pou Theatre on 27 June and focus on arts budgets, how people put them together and what they’ve learned trying to grow and sustain their inititatives.
