AIS Mātariki Mural
For Mātariki this year we collaborated with I Love Avondale, Dominique Crawford, Avondale Intermediate School and Haser.
Haser provided us a foundation to build from and together alongside the students of the kura we used bold colours to represent the surrounding stars, taking time to kōrero about the meaning of each and how we can embrace these in our everyday lives.
Now every time tamariki walk past, they’re reminded that their stories and dreams matter. Just like the stars, they’re part of something bigger. This mural is for them, by them, and it carries our hope that they’ll keep growing, protecting, and shining together.
